About
Hey there, I'm Josie Carletta, nice to meet you! I'm a 24-year-old self-taught photographer from Indianapolis. For the longest time, I struggled with deciding my career path, but I knew it had to ignite my creative spark. After a semester at university studying nursing, I realized my true calling was in something more creatively fulfilling. While I had dabbled in film photography during high school, it wasn't until I got my hands on my first digital camera that I truly saw the potential for a career in photography. There's always room to grow and learn, but I quickly discovered a natural knack for capturing moments through my lens.
My passion for photography blossomed, particularly when I began having the opportunity to shoot live shows, starting with Mod Sun's concert a few years back. This ignited my interest in various facets of the music industry, from merchandise to management.
In recent times, I've been immersed in the festival scene, working as a merchandise vendor at events like Rolling Loud New York and Astroworld Houston, all the while squeezing in shoots between gigs. Witnessing live shows from different perspectives—whether among the crowd, in the photo pit, or at the merch tent—has been incredible as a music lover.
My ultimate aspiration? To hit the road with an artist I deeply admire and of memorialize their journey through my lens. Let's work!
